Global Piñata

Polyester “Made in China” tags, tellurian, eye mask, and stick

Dimensions variable

This piñata set is adorned with purchased "Made in China" tags. Interestingly, most of the piñatas people buy are made in China, yet they hold no cultural significance in China. The underpaid Chinese laborers who produce these objects have little understanding of their symbolism. Critics argue that China's role as the world's factory negatively impacts other countries. However, such arguments often overlook the fact that Chinese laborers are simply trying to survive. There is no clear right or wrong in this situation—it is a complex reality. No one should become a victim of political debates.
